Westdown/Asham Quarry – near Chantry, BA11 3LY – this postcode is not at the quarry, just nearby in Chantry. Look out for signs to the quarry from Chantry village. This is a fairly long walk in a remote area, about 30 minutes from the entrance to the furthest artwork, so we recommend you enjoy it with a companion.

Open 11.00am to 6.00pm daily. Fairy Cave Quarry is definitely not to be missed but be aware that parking near the quarry is very limited. Please park considerately and if possible car-share, cycle, walk or use the bus. The Cerberus Speleological Society has kindly agreed to let us use their nearby lodge for overflow parking. It is on Fosse Road, 100m west of the Limekiln Lane crossroads. The walk back to the quarry is 1km (about 12 minutes). Please park with consideration for the cavers. The area is very popular with cavers particularly at weekends.

– no toilets at Halecombe & Westdown/Asham quarry venues
– limited parking facilities

– stay away from rock faces and cliff edges
– keep children supervised – no climbing on rocks or sculptures
– rough paths, so wear stout footwear
– paths may be slippery or muddy. If wet, please take care
– limited wheelchair access at some venues
– please report any damage
